Personal Structures is
an international art project initiated in 2003 by the Dutch artist Rene
Rietmeyer. On 16 April 2005, the first "Personal Structures" symposium
took place at the Ludwig Museum in Koblenz, Germany, dedicated
exclusively to the relevance non-object art has today and for the
future. Artists, art historians, museum people and theoreticians have
all voiced their positions here. This book contains new versions in
English and German of the talks given by the eight speakers.
